Apprenticeship as a Construction Mechanic (m/f/d) – Starting September 2024

The focus is on large steel and metal construction projects – from the drawing to the final assembly

Training prerequisites:

  • To successfully start your apprenticeship as a construction mechanic (m/f/d), you should have a technical interest, spatial imagination, and curiosity about how various tools work and are used to process components. Good grades in mathematics, physics, and industrial arts/technology are advantageous for this apprenticeship.

Your tasks:

  • During your apprenticeship as a construction mechanic (m/f/d), you will learn the full range of sheet and metal processing using cutting torches, lasers, or CNC machines. You will cut steel beams to length, and precisely cut profiles and sheets to the millimeter. You will bend or fold sheets, make drill holes, assemble the components, align them, and connect them by welding, bolting, or riveting. You will install drives and control systems, and attach coverings. Maintenance and repair of metal structures or tools and production machines will also be part of your responsibilities.
